Welcome to Surblast
The Work We Perform
Proper preparation of any log home restoration project is the key to completing the job right and achieving a high quality finish that will last for years to come.
A log home restoration is the process of stripping the logs of all foreign material to bring back it's original clean white wood grain just like the day it was first installed, except this time with a slight difference by providing the stripped logs with a profile not noticed at first glance. This profile is vital in applying the stain. It helps the stain penetrate deeper into the logs which in turn preserves the logs longer and adds a beautiful finish.
The cost might seem expensive at first, but what you really are paying for in the end is nothing compared to the value of what you get when the project is completed properly. You're home is back to its original state, protected from the elements and has increased resale value. What better investment than in you're residence that you use and depend on daily.
Surblast offer's a complete log home restoration, from log repairs, blasting, chinking, staining and painting if required. With over 20 years in the blasting and refinishing industry we are the best at what we offer.
What is Chinking..?
The cost of chinking is usually measured by the lineal foot to be completed, which includes backer fillers and the chinking plus labor and can range from $3 to $5 per lineal foot, depending on the spacing of the logs.
The first step in a proper chinking job is the preparation of the logs first.
